Fisher Cats tie game in ninth, win it in 11th

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning, then plated the winner in the 11th as they stunned the Altoona Curve, 7-6, last night in Manchester.

Mike McDade (2-for-5, three RBI) capped the ninth-inning rally with a two-out, two-run single that made it 6-6. Andy Burns then provided the game-winning hit with one out in the 11th when his infield single with the bases loaded scored Kevin Nolan (1-for-4, two runs)

Kenny Wilson led a 14-hit attack by going 4-for-6 with two runs scored. Mike Crouse went 2-for-4, and Burns drove in two runs. John Anderson earned the victory in relief, pitching scoreless ball over 1.1 innings.

The Fisher Cats hit the road for a three-game series at Trenton beginning tonight at 7:05.
