Softball All-Star game
New Hampshire swept Maine, 12-1 and 12-5, in the sixth annual high school Senior All State All-Star softball games at Portsmouth’s Alumni-Wentworth Field on Monday. New Hampshire’s Natalie Fabrizio (Pinkerton) got the win in game one, while teammate Amanda Bickford (Salem) had three hits. In the nightcap, Spaulding’s Sami West got the win in the circle, while teammates Phoebe Collins (Portsmouth) and Lisa Osborne (Gilford) each garnered two hits. Area stars included Mariah Gauthier (Franklin), Karli Cook (John Stark) and Coach Skip Dubois (Franklin). New Hampshire now trails in the series, 2-3-1. The games will move to Maine next season.
Nancy Guimond and Mary Reeves placed first in the Mojalaki Ladies Fun League. Lucille Gage and Kathy Kuhn came in second place, with Madeleine Minard and Dutchy Westerberg placing third. The closest to the pin winner was Lucille Gage. The Ladies Fun League plays every Tuesday beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Archery In Motion will hold its Thursday programs from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Racquet Club of Concord at 10 Garvin Falls Road. Equipment is provided if you do not have your own. Fee is $15 per person. Granite State Racing Team/Concord’s Running Club is a club of runners of high school age and older of all abilities. The club meets at the northeast corner of the Memorial Field parking lot on South Fruit Street in Concord at 5 p.m. every Tuesday. The team conducts weekly track workouts led by Coach Amber Ferreira.
