Fisher Cats see early lead disappear in loss to Trenton
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats saw a quick three-run lead vanish en route to an 8-5 loss to the Trenton Thunder last night.
The Fisher Cats went up 3-0 in the first inning on back-to-back doubles by Matt Newman and Kevin Nolan, the last of which brought in a pair of runners.
Trenton erased the advantage in its first try, scoring four runs in the top of the second on the strength of home runs by Peter O’Brien and Francisco Arcia. New Hampshire got the lead back on doubles by Newman and Nolan in the bottom half, but Trenton tied the game in the third before scoring once in the fifth and twice in the sixth to pull away.
