Fisher Cats win second in a row in Erie
Scott Copeland pitched eight innings to earn the win and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats won their second straight game in Erie last night, beating the SeaWolves, 3-1.
Copeland (8-7, 3.70) allowed one run on six hits and three walks while striking out two. He recorded 19 of his 24 outs on grounders, including three double plays.
Andy Burns (2-for-4) and Cory Aldridge (2-for-4) gave Copeland a quick 2-0 lead with first-inning RBI doubles. Mike McDade’s RBI groundout in the fourth plated Burns for a 3-0 lead.
The Fisher Cats go for the sweep of the series tonight at 7:05.
