Fisher Cats break out the bats in win over Richmond

A four-run third inning gave the New Hampshire Fisher Cats a lead they never lost en route to an 8-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels last night.

The Fisher Cats pounded out 10 hits overall, led by Jorge Flores, who went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Melky Mesa also drove in a pair of runs, one coming on a solo home run in the seventh, while Jon Berti and Michael Crouse had two hits apiece.

Austin Bibens-Dirkx started and pitched well for New Hampshire, allowing one earned run in seven innings while striking out six to lower his ERA to 2.10.
