Fisher Cats walk across with 3-2 win over Akron RubberDucks

Cory Aldridge tied the game with a two-run single and Mike McDade followed with a bases-loaded walk that proved to be the difference in the Fisher Cats’ 3-2 victory over the Akron RubberDucks yesterday.

Gregory Infante worked two innings of scoreless relief for his 19th save as New Hampshire finished the homestand with a 3-3 mark.

Akron (70-58) took a 2-0 lead on Tim Fedroff’s solo homer in the third and Jake Lowery’s RBI singled in the fourth.

New Hampshire (61-66) rallied to take the lead in the sixth, scoring all three of its runs in the inning. The Fisher Cats sent nine men to the plate, taking advantage of four walks and a hit batsman.

Austin Bibens-Dirkx (6-2) allowed two runs in six innings for the win. He scattered six hits, did not walk a batter and struck out five. Scott Gracey added a scoreless seventh.
