Sea Dogs complete three-game sweep of Fisher Cats

A day after being one-hit by Portland (84-50), the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (63-70) were shut out by a trio of Sea Dogs pitchers as Portland swept the three-game series with a 5-0 victory yesterday.

Luis Diaz (six innings), Mike Augliera (7-10) and Robby Scott combined for the seven-hit shutout. New Hampshire’s Mike Lee matched them through seven shutout innings, scattering five hits, but the Sea Dogs got to reliever Dustin Antolin (4-6) for four runs in the eighth inning.

A pair of hits and back-to-back walks forced in the first run, then Kevin Heller ripped a three-run double to break it open. Mike Miller went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Portland’s 10-hit attack, while Kevin Nolan had two hits for New Hampshire.
