Six early runs bury Fisher Cats en route to 9-3 loss to Harrisburg
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats fell behind quickly and couldn’t recover, losing to the Harrisburg Senators, 9-3.
Harrisburg took a 6-0 lead with four runs in the first and two in the second. The Fisher Cats tried to climb back with a three-run third, but Harrisburg scored three more times in the seventh to put the game away.
Andy Burns hit a three-run home run for New Hampshire, set up by a Gustavo Pierre single and Jon Berti double. Melky Mesa had three hits for the Fisher Cats.
Austin Bibens-Dirkx allowed six runs in four innings and was saddled with the loss. He allowed eight hits and struck out one.
