Wright is usually the one to build the fire but had knee surgery this month so his duties were limited to stoking the logs with a charred hockey stick. T his year’s 1883 Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship came at the end of an exceptionally cold week at Concord. The bonfire lit in the late afternoon became a place to warm up and catch up.
