Monarchs shut out, see point streak end

The Manchester Monarchs saw their nine-game point streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to the host Connecticut Whale last night.
Connecticut (29-25-5-3) scored one goal in the first and two in the second against Monarchs goalie Martin Jones, who finished with 21 saves. Jason Missiaen made 27 saves for the shutout in the Whale’s net.
Manchester, which had gone 7-0-1-1 in its previous nine games, dropped to 29-25-3-4, third in the Atlantic Division with 65 points.
