Fisher Cats hit early and often in 15-7 victory over Trenton Thunder
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats batted around in the first inning en route to a 15-7 victory over the Trenton Thunder at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium last night.
The Thunder took a 1-0 lead before the Fisher Cats responded with five runs in the bottom of the first and eventually built a 9-1 lead. Trenton answered by cutting the deficit to 9-7, but six unanswered runs kept the game from getting too tight.
Sean Ochinko knocked in four runs, three coming on one double, to pace a Fisher Cat offense that saw each starter score at least once. Clint Robinson hit two doubles and drove in three runs, while Ryan Schimpf and Brad Glenn drew three walks apiece.
Ryan Tepera allowed three runs in five-plus innings to get the win.
