Monarchs get big 2-1 win over Binghamton

The Manchester Monarchs earned a big win in their race for an AHL playoff spot, beating the Binghamton Senators, 2-1, last night. Manchester is chasing the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, and has two games remaining.

Martin Jones made 37 saves for Manchester, which took the lead for good 26 seconds into the third period on a Linden Vey goal. The Monarchs gave up the first goal of the game, but tied it later in the first period on a goal by Tanner Pearson.
