Fisher Cats waste 12-hit attack in 4-1 loss to New Britain
Despite spraying 12 hits around the ballpark, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats ended a homestand with a 4-1 loss to the New Britain Rock Cats in a matinee yesterday.
Ricardo Nanita had three hits and Jack Murphy doubled in the lone run for New Hampshire, which stranded 11 baserunners in the game. The Fishers were just 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
After Nanita (3-for-4) singled to start the fourth and came around on a wild pitch and Murphy’s double, the Rock Cats (10-10) took control with a run in the fifth, two in the seventh and one in the eighth.

The Fisher Cats open a seven-game road trip in Reading tonight at 7:05. Marcus Walden (0-3, 3.98) starts for the Fishers against Tom Cochran (0-1, 6.23).
