Close to 700 students, staff and faculty participated in National Run A Mile Days at Merrimack Valley Middle School. Students could run or walk around a one-mile section of the school’s cross-country path. Eighth-grade math teacher Laura Culp had been looking for ways to encourage her young children to run when she discovered the nationwide event.
