Fisher Cats rally for 4-3 victory over New Britain

Kevin Pillar led off the top of the ninth inning with his fourth hit of the game and eventually came home on a two-out error to give the New Hampshire Fisher Cats a 4-3 victory over the New Britain Rock Cats last night.

Pillar (4-for-5) singled, stole second (his 11th stolen base of the season), took third on a Ricardo Nanita single and scored when New Britain shortstop Danny Santana booted Clint Robinson’s grounder.

New Hampshire, which trailed 3-1 after three innings, got solo home runs from Adam Loewen and Kevin Nolan.

Reliever Evan Crawford (2-1) earned the victory with 1 2∕3 scoreless innings, and Joel Carreno worked around two base runners in the ninth to earn his third save.
