The registration deadline for fall soccer for children in grades 3-6 is today. After today, players will be placed on teams that need players, not on their school teams. The Parks and Recreation Department offers fall soccer leagues for children from four years old to high school-age. Team NH Baseball will hold tryouts for its 12-, 13-, 14- and 15-year-old teams for the 2014 season Saturday-Sunday. Tryouts will be held at Campbell High School, 1 Highlander Court in Litchfield at the following times: 9-11 a.m. (12-year-olds), 12:30-2:30 p.m. (ages 13 and 14) and 3-5 p.m. (15-year-olds). Cost is $35, and registration will open 30 minutes before scheduled tryout times. Players need only attend one tryout date. A parent or guardian must attend the tryout with the player. NH LADY CANNONS softball team will hold a second tryout on Sunday at the Concord Sport Center. MERRIMACK VALLEY FIELD HOCKEY for girls entering grades 3-6 will begin Aug. 25. Sign up at the Penacook Community Center. The program cost is $35 dollars. The season runs through October. Pembroke Summer Recreation Program is still open for registration at the Pembroke Highway Department. The six-week program is open to any Pembroke or Allenstown children entering grades 1-6. The program runs through Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Memorial Field in Pembroke. Extended hours for early drop-off or late pick-up are available for an additional $10/week. A $15 non-refundable registration fee is required, and the cost of the program is $45/week for Pembroke residents and $55/week for Allenstown residents. Cost includes a weekly field trip.
