The Pembroke JV boys’ soccer team (9-2) took out undefeated Lebanon in double overtime on Friday, 3-2. Max Putnam scored the OT winner, while Glenn Dion had the two goals in regulation. AJ Gagnon made a game-saving clearance off the goal line to keep the score tied.
Concord Police Patrolmen’s Squirt 3 Capitals lost to the Rochester Squirt 1 team, 7-0, in Rochester. Golaie Escalera “CJ” Carmelito stopped 25 of the 32 shots he faced.

The New Hampton School football team beat Holderness, 48-28.

Legends of Hockey
The New Hampshire Legends of Hockey is hosting its 12th annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon Oct. 27 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord. This year’s inductees include Concord’s Harvey Smith, Mark Stuckey and Ted Rice, as well as Dick Bradley and Beatrice “Bea” Lambert. The Legends are also paying tribute to the Concord High School boys’ and girls’ programs. The guest speaker is Tara Mounsey, who played for the CHS boys’ team and later starred at Brown University and was a key member of the U.S. National and Olympic hockey teams. Duncan Mathews, former captain and head coach, will also address the history of Concord hockey. MERRIMACK VALLEY YOUTH Baseball and Softball will hold its annual election meeting Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at Penacook Community Center. All positions are open. Little Strikers indoor soccer clinic registrations for children ages 3-6 are being accepted at FieldHouse Sports in Bow. The five-week session begins Saturday.
