Basketball showcase coming to Bishop Brady on Dec. 15

It’s basketball-apolooza on Dec. 15 when the Frank Monahan Foundation Basketball Showcase hits the court at Bishop Brady High School with a quadruple-header featuring some of the top prep school teams in the country as well as the Bishop Brady boys’ season opener against Conant.

IMG Academy out of Bradenton, Fla., takes on Tilton School at noon, followed by Notre Dame Prep from Fitchburg, Mass., against Rise Academy from Philadelphia at 1:30, Bishop Brady against Conant at 3, and Brewster Academy against Lee Academy from Maine at 4:30.

Tickets – which are good for all four games – are $10 for adults and $5 for children, with 100 percent of ticket sales benefiting the Frank Monahan Foundation, which in its first year of existence has helped rebuild the White Park basketball court and build a brand new basketball court at Kimball Park next to the new Concord Boys & Girls Club. The Foundation also will be making two donations during halftime of the Brady-Conant game.
