Gale scored twice as Monarchs beat Sharks, 3-1

Right wing A.J. Gale scored his second and third goals of the season to help lift the visiting Manchester Monarchs over the Worcester Sharks, 3-1, last night.

Worcester took a 1-0 lead into the second period before Manchester’s Andrew Campbell tied the score with his first goal of the season at 16:04.

Gale, appearing in his eighth game with Manchester, then scored twice in the third period, first at 3:28 and again at 6:49, to give the Monarchs (17-5-1-4) control of the game. Defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk assisted on both of Gale’s goals.

Monarchs goalie J.F. Berube made 39 saves.
