MV’s Jackson named head coach of N.H. Shrine football team

Merrimack Valley football Coach David Jackson has been named head coach of New Hampshire for next summer’s 61st annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl game.

Mike Williams of BFA-Fairfax is head coach of Vermont.

The game, pitting the top recently-graduated players from New Hampshire against their counterparts from Vermont, will be played Aug. 2 at Dartmouth College.

In three years as the Pride’s head coach, Jackson helped MV put together its most successful season in program history this past fall, going 7-3 and making the team’s first-ever playoff appearance.
