Heading into its match at Pembroke Pines yesterday, the Coe-Brown Bears’ golf team (9-10) had one goal in mind: making the state tournament. From 2010-13, the Bears were on the outside looking in, combining for an 8-53 record, with only one win between 2011 and 2012. And the Bears delivered, shooting a 215 that was good for second place in the meet and enough to secure a berth in the end-of-season tournament.
