Manchester trailed 2-1 entering the final period and soon gave up another goal to fall behind 3-1, but took command in the frame by outshooting the Bruins 16-7. The Monarchs cut the gap to one when Linden Vey scored off of assists from Nick Deslauriers and Tyler Toffoli, but that was all the offense they were able to manage.

Deslauriers had the other goal for the Monarchs, who outshot Providence 33-21 for the game. Mike Moore, Matt Fraser and Andrew Cherniwchan had the goals for the Bruins, and goalie Niklas Svedberg made 31 saves. Martin Jones stopped 18 shots for Manchester.
