Crossan scores twice in UNH’s Blue-White football game

Freshman Dalton Crossan ran for 61 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries to lead Team Cats to a 20-0 victory over Team Wild in the University of New Hampshire’s annual spring Blue-White football game yesterday at Cowell Stadium. Merrimack’s Mike Kelly had two catches for 69 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown pass from Hayden Jardine (4-for-7, 57 yards).

The pair of quarterbacks who fought for the starting job throughout last season were back at it with Bedford’s Andy Vailas going 4-for-7 for 29 yards and Sean Goldrich finishing 5-for-11 for 31 yards. Sophomore Jimmy Owens led all rushers with 87 yards on just six carries. Defensively, Nick Cefalo, HaydenKnudson and Shane McNeely each had an interception, Keith Parkinson, Tim Pike, Kevin McNally and Robbie Zauck had five tackles each, and JullianTurner and SeanMcCann each had two sacks.
