Monarchs beat Bruins in a shootout, 5-4

Tyler Toffoli and Andy Andreoff both scored in the shootout and Monarchs goalie Martin Jones held Providence without a shootout goal as Manchester beat the Bruins, 5-4, last night.

Providence scored three times in the third period – including the tying goal with 25 seconds to play – to force overtime.

Tanner Pearson, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Brian O’Neill and Robert Czarnik scored for the Monarchs, who took a 3-1 lead into the final period.

Jones finished with 34 saves.
