The Insiders: Cash in on the new year with a Friday open house
Happy New Year! Here’s hoping you didn’t drop before the ball did last night. Now it’s time to start living out those annual resolutions. So what’s our New Year’s resolution for 2014, you ask? 1080p!
If you’re on your way to Quality Cash Market at 11 Eastman St. for a coffee and the morning paper, how are you already reading this? But more importantly, stop! They’re going to be closed for two days ahead of an exciting storewide facelift and festive open house on Friday.
In the spirit of the season, Quality Cash is ringing in the new year with a new motto: “New year, new look, new us.” That new look will feature brand-new flooring and new coolers as part of a storewide update, which will be completed while the store is closed today and tomorrow.
But boy does it open up Friday with a bang. The open house celebration will feature a live radio remote with WTPL beginning when the doors open at 7 a.m., free coffee and doughnuts, New Hampshire lottery giveaways, afternoon beer and wine tastings and other chances to win prizes. The celebration runs until closing at 7 p.m. “It’s going to be a fun-filled day,” said Ed Heath, brother of owner Tony Heath. “We’re making this a big, big deal.”
So stop by and soak in the sweet new style of a Concord institution. You’ll be floored by the flooring! You’ll be cooled by the coolers? You’ll be . . . um, we’re out of weird puns. But visit anyway. You won’t be disappointed. “Stop in and check us out,” Heath said. “It’s going to be a day of fun and excitement.”
