MV Coach Jackson, seven area players to represent New Hampshire on Shrine football team
Merrimack Valley’s David Jackson was named head coach of the New Hampshire squad for the 61st annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl, which pits graduating seniors from the Granite State against their counterparts from Vermont.
Jackson will be joined by two of his players from the Pride, Ryan Head and Cole Martin. Five other area players made the team – Concord’s Seimou Smith and Marc Gaudet, Bow’s Dwight Alford, Pembroke’s Dean Dustin and Winnisquam’s Dakota Van Tassel.
The game is scheduled for Aug. 2 at Dartmouth College at 5:30 p.m.
