High school Player of the Season for softball

School: Coe-Brown Northwood Academy

Honors/stats: The junior pitcher went 17-2 with a 1.77 ERA, striking out 129 in 118 innings. At the plate, she hit .368 with 6 doubles, 4 triples and 30 RBI for an OPS of 1.25.

Describe your season in one word. successful

How much was the team motivated by losing in the final last year? It was the reason for us to win every game; every game we played, we played to reach our final goal which was to win the ’ship, that was our motivation every game.

What is the Coe-Brown softball team’s greatest strength? Our greatest strength was never letting up.

Who is the toughest pitcher you’ve faced? Hannah Seidner (Pembroke)

Toughest batter? Marissa Kibbee (Pembroke)

What is your go-to pitch? Drop ball

What’s more satisfying, hitting one over the fence or a 1-2-3 inning? Hitting over the fence definitely, no better feeling.

Who is the unsung hero of the team? Emily Therrien

Which of your teammates would you least like to face in the circle? Lauren Jones, she’s one of the most consistent hitters I’ve played with.

What is the best coaching advice you’ve ever received? “Own the moment” – Coach Dave Allis

What would you do to improve high school softball in NH? I would make it so every team plays each other at least once during the regular season.

What is your favorite field to play on? The field at Southern New Hampshire University.

If you could be on any reality show, what would it be? Keeping up with the Kardashians

What is an activity you’ve never tried, but wanted to try? Polo

Who is your role model? My father

What is your dream vacation? Atlantis

What are your goals for next season? Win the ’ship again, but with an undefeated record.
