Concord baseball beats Dover, 9-6, in regular season finale

Seimou Smith went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs, two coming on a home run, and the Concord High baseball team (12-6) scored four runs in the fourth to put away Dover (10-9) with a 9-6 victory.

Concord scored twice in the second and led 2-1 before breaking the game open in the fourth. Smith scored two runs in the game, and Concord was also led at the plate by Nate Mullen (2-for-3, two runs, RBI), Braden Smith (2-for-4, RBI) and Ben Bengtson (2-for-5, run, RBI), while Alex Bashios, Cody Ferns and Jon Dunn also scored and had an RBI apiece.

Jon Clary got the win in the regular-season finale, allowing six hits and a walk and striking out six in six innings of work. Cam Alosa pitched the seventh to pick up the save.
