John Stark volleyball Coach Matzke named Coach of the Year

John Stark’s Phil Matzke was named Coach of the Year by the NH Volleyball Coaches Association after leading the Generals to an 11-5 regular-season record and a spot in the tournament. Stark went 1-31 in its first two seasons as a varsity team but turned it around this season. The Generals earned the fifth seed for the tourney, where they lost to Pinkerton in the quarterfinals.

Stark also placed two players on the All-State teams, with Ryan Compagna making the second team and Zach Grattan making the third team. Also, John Caley was named the JV Coach of the Year.
