The Insiders: Take your homebrewing up a notch
Do you ever wonder just how that delicious beer you enjoy is made? Have you ever thought about making your own beer? Or do you want to take your homebrewing to the next level?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then we have just the thing for you. The Concord Area Homebrewers will be taking part in the Learn to Homebrew Day – a national event promoted by the American Homebrewers Association – today and those in attendance will leave with their mind blown and taste buds craving beer.
The good people at CAHB will provide two different ways to make delicious beer at home. There will be a simpler batch made using an extract and a more complex, all grain version. There will be plenty to learn for the budding homebrewer.
The event will be held at the corner of Clinton and Harvard streets today from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Some of the 30-plus member organization will be on hand to answer questions about the brewing process and guide you through what it takes to begin your career (albeit a free career) as a homebrewing wizard.
If beer is not a passion of yours then this is not for you. (But really who does not like beer? It is delicious and should be celebrated).
And if you are lucky (and we mean really, really lucky), there may be a sample of a local homebrew to try.
