Aldridge goes deep as Fisher Cats cruise over Fightin Phils

Cory Aldridge, playing in just his fourth game with New Hampshire, went 3-for-4, including a three-run homer, to lead the Fisher Cats to a 7-1 road victory over the Reading Fightin Phils last night.

Aldridge connected off Reading starter Ryan O’Sullivan to bring home Mike McDade (2-for-5, RBI, two runs) and Andy Burns (1-for-4, double, two runs) and make the score 4-0.

Mike Crouse (2-for-5, RBI), Jorge Flores (2-for-5) and Derrick Chung (1-for-4, two RBI) also contributed to the Fisher Cats’ 12-hit attack.

Starting pitcher Radhames Liz improved to 1-1 and left the game with an ERA of 1.19 by pitching six innings and allowing six hits and one run. Austin Bibens-Dirkx pitched three shutout innings for his first save.

The teams wrap up their series tonight at 7:05.
