Burns’s productive debut not enough to give Fisher Cats a victory in Harrisburg
Marcus Stroman allowed one run in five innings and Andy Burns had three hits in his Double-A debut, but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats were undone by their bullpen in a 7-6 loss to the Harrisburg Senators last night.
Brian Goodwin homered with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning off Fisher Cats reliever Chorye Spoone (3-3) to break a 6-6 tie and give the Senators the win.
Burns went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, two runs and an RBI. Brad Glenn and Tommy Manzella each had two hits and two RBI.
The teams meet again tonight at 7:05. The Fisher Cats will start Sean Nolin (3-2, 3.09) against Blake Treinen (6-6, 3.74).
