Fisher Cats split doubleheader with Rock Cats

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats split a doubleheader with the New Britain Rock Cats yesterday, winning the first game, 5-4, before falling, 6-5, in the nightcap.

Andy Burns and Adam Loewen hit back-to-back home runs in the win, and Ryan Schimpf also went yard as the Fisher Cats generated enough offense to back starter Sean Nolin (8-3).

In the second game, New Hampshire had a 5-3 lead before surrendering three unearned runs. Gabe Jacobo generated all of the offense for the Fisher Cats, finishing with two home runs, a two-run shot in the third that made it 3-2 and a three-run blast that gave New Hampshire the lead in the fifth.
