The last thing our country needs is higher energy prices, yet that is precisely what legislators are planning to do via cap-and-trade legislation called the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. This is a wolf in sheep's clothing that will only weaken our country. Energy is the lifeblood of our nation's economic engine.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is not a scientific body but a governmental and bureaucratic one which bases all of its claims on the assumption that we humans are causing climate change. It has no interest in the fact that climate change has always occurred, nor the causes of those climate changes. This is not science, but ideology.

It seems the more ignorant people are of the town of Pittsfield, the more they like to bash it.
We've been here for 26 years, and love it here. No town is without its problems. Our biggest is an extremely low tax base and an archaic tax system based on the property tax, which our wishy-washy, do-nothing governor refuses to fix.

To Sen. John Sununu: I want to preface this letter by saying I'm a Democrat and haven't voted for you (though that could change in the next election).
The issue of manmade global warming seemed like a slam dunk for me until fairly recently when I began to look into it via the web. What I saw about the "science" of global warming disturbed me greatly.
