The Insiders: Park yourself at this meeting about a park
Sometimes, we get our best column ideas walking through Concord’s parks. But sometimes we enjoy walking through the parks so much that we forget to come to work. So we actually had to stop that practice altogether. But speaking of parks, White Park is one. And speaking of meetings – were we speaking of meetings? Oh, well, we are now – there’s a public information meeting tonight at 6, at the new Heights Community Center (formerly Dame School) on Canterbury Road. The meeting is to discuss a proposal for an update to the skate house at White Park that would create a year-round facility.
It’s been a hotly debated topic, which we generally prefer to tepidly debated topics. So whether you’re a proponent, an opponent or some other kind of ponent, don’t miss your chance to sound off.

There’s also some cool music on the docket for this evening, as well. You may remember us chatting with members of the band Pat and the Hats just before Market Days last summer. Even if you don’t remember, it still happened. And they’re still playing at Penuche’s tonight, along with Badfellows, starting at 9. Also tonight, Joe Gattuso will be playing at Hermanos at 6:30.
