The Insiders: Get that little slice of spring at McGowan
What is better than the smell of fresh cut flowers on a cold winter day?
Give up? So did we. That’s why you need to head over to McGowan Fine Art tonight. The 12th annual Art & Bloom extravaganza is a little slice of spring when we all need it the most. The show is a collaboration between the staff at McGowan and members of the Concord Garden Club. Each designer chose a painting, sculpture or print and has spent the last few weeks plotting a way to interpret that piece of art. And tonight is when we all get to see what they’ve come up with.
The opening reception goes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the show only lasts through Saturday. Then – like last week’s spring like weather – it will be gone before we know it.
And before time runs out, you might want to sign up for Saturday’s One Day Positivity Retreat at All Elements Healing Revolution on South Main St. The cost is $15 and pre- registration is required. The day includes three workshops, lunch and discounted services. To register, visit allelementshealing.com or call 225-5554. It’s about time you treated yourself to a day of relaxation. You’ve earned it.
