Boston and Columbus trade minor-leaguers
Minor deal for B’s
The Boston Bruins acquired defenseman Blake Parlett from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Carter Camper yesterday.
The 24-year-old Parlett has four goals and 14 assists in 37 games with Springfield this season. In 192 career AHL games, he has 18 goals and 58 assists. Columbus acquired the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder on April 3, 2013, as part of a multiplayer trade with the New York Rangers.
A native of Rocky River, Ohio, Camper is a former Miami (Ohio) player who has appeared in 171 career AHL games with Providence, totaling 37 goals and 128 assists.
He has eight goals and 23 assists in 41 games this season.
The 25-year-old Camper was assigned to club’s American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
