The Insiders: We think you’ll dig these dig days
Today seems like a good day to play in the dirt (Little known fact: Every day is a good day to play in the dirt.) But today’s dirt activities could produce a righteous discovery or two, as part of the New Hampshire Division of Historical Resources “Dig Days,” where visitors can participate in an archaeological field school and learn more about the history of the division’s building and neighborhood, which encompasses the former site of the annex of the Margaret Pillsbury General Hospital in Concord. You can also learn how to discover things about the history of your own neighborhood. Hint: There’s more to it than digging random holes until you find some cool stuff. “Dig Days” are open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and tomorrow at 19 Pillsbury St. For more information, call 271-3483.
Today is also a great day for teens to celebrate comics at the library. Teens are encouraged to bring their wish list for the library’s comics collection to a meeting in the Teen Zone at 4:30 p.m. Visit concordpubliclibrary.net for more.
