The Insiders: It’s a nice day, so enjoy it!
It’s supposed to be a nice day.
The weather report (if we can ever believe it) calls for mostly sunny with a high in the mid-70s. We know, it’s hard to believe, but it might be safe to say that spring has officially arrived. Hopefully we didn’t just jinx it. So our recommendation is to get outside and enjoy what we’ve all been patiently waiting for. And we mean the kind of patient like when your neighbor borrows your brand-new rake and brings it back with only four prongs remaining.
Sure, we could point you to an art gallery or movie – both wonderful things to do, we might add – but who wants to be inside on what is expected to be a beautiful spring day? The answer should be no one.
So here’s our advice: Pick a destination, get in your car and go there. It could be anything from a hiking trail to a park. Spend some time enjoying the warmth, the fresh air and the fact that going outside doesn’t require multiple layers.
Put the house projects to the side and take some time for yourself and anyone else who wants to join you on this fine afternoon. Think of this as a you day, and don’t let anyone tell you differently. If they ask any questions, just tell them you’re taking direction from a trusted source. That will also prevent them from thinking the advice came from us.
And if you go anywhere cool, take a picture of you with the Insider and send it to us. You might just be lucky and make a future edition. Think of all the fame and fortune that would follow.
