The Insiders: Sign up to pull a fire truck – then hit the gym
It’s not every day you get to pull a fire truck down Main Street. But today is a day where you can sign up to try it. Registration is open for the third annual Fire Truck Pull and with the Saturday of Market Days (July 19) event being limited to just 20 teams, there’s no time to waste.
Fire trucks are something we consider large and in charge so it might be a good idea to round up a group of your strongest friends (10 total per team) for a shot at moving the 45,000 pound beast. Teams compete for the fastest time, slowest team, best costume and most money raised.
Cost is $400 per team or you can do a solo pull for $100, but we don’t recommend trying that unless you’re like those people in the world’s strongest competitions. But if so, we say go ahead and don’t forget to let us know. We definitely want a picture of that. Money raised will help purchase an all-terrain vehicle for the Concord Fire Department.
