The Insiders: Head over to the library and get a lesson in homebrewing
It’s no secret how much we appreciate beer. Well, maybe love is a better word to describe it.
With all the different variations, styles and flavor combinations, making beer should really be considered an art form – just one that also happens to be quite delicious. And we dare you to show us a painting that can taste that good.
But we’re not the only ones who have a borderline obsession with a frosty pint. The good people of the Concord Area Homebrewers are just as good as brewing it as we are at drinking it. And tonight beginning at 7, the club’s president, Ed Ramshaw will be at the Concord library for a presentation, titled “The Art and Science of Homebrewing.”
Ramshaw, who is a bit of a local legend in the brewing game, will be on hand to discuss the process of taking grains, hops and water (plus other ingredients of course) from a kettle to a bottle and eventually into your belly, and hopefully ours. He will answer questions and have equipment on hand for you to check out. The event is free and will be held in the auditorium.
