The Insiders: It’s a holiday weekend, so get out and explore
So it’s the first day of a much needed holiday weekend and you’re looking for something fun to do. Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’re chock full of great ideas, as if you didn’t already know that.
But instead of pointing you to just one place, why not make this an adventure day – and one that requires absolutely no money. Assuming you have gas (because you do need money for that), load up the car with things like snacks, drinks, kids (if you have any), your lucky rabbit’s foot and set out to hit the town.
The outdoor sculpture exhibit at Mill Brook Gallery (236 Hopkinton Road) has to be seen and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. So is the current display at the League of N.H. Craftsmen (49 S. Main St.), “Circles, Squares and Triangles.” Plus don’t forget about “N.H. Then and Now” at the Historical Society (30 Park St.) And to cap off the day, check out Paul Hubert at Hermanos for a little music in your life.
Just think of it as a daylong scavenger hunt with nothing to look for.
