Providence Bruins hold off Monarchs, 4-3

Torey Krug scored midway through the second period to snap a 2-2 tie, and Carter Camper notched an empty-netter with 50 seconds to play that turned out to be the game-winner in the Providence Bruins’ 4-3 victory last night over the Manchester Monarchs.

The teams traded goals over the first two periods, with Christian Hanson and Graham Mink scoring for Providence (43-21-0-5) and Ian O’Connor and Jordan Weal tallying for Manchester (31-31-3-4). After Camper’s goal gave the Bruins a 4-2 lead, David Meckler found the net with four seconds to play for the Monarchs.
