The Insiders: Market Days mayhem
Concord’s annual downtown extravaganza, Market Days, is upon us! We probably don’t need to tell you to go down to Main Street and check this out; you’ll likely get swept up in the mobs descending upon the fun, free festivities. If you’re looking for a little guidance, check out this week’s Insider – we’ve got maps, schedules and previews of all the festivities. Since we’re all about steering you to the hottest activities in town, we’ll still provide you with a few highlights for today to point you in the right direction.
∎ Bring your own white clothing item to the State House lawn between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and get into some tie-dying! Scarlet begonias to tuck into your curls not included.
∎ Get your Joey Chestnut on in Eagle Square in the hot dog eating contest. Junior competition is at 2 p.m., adult at 2:30 p.m.
∎ The Shardz rage the Bicentennial Square stage at 5 p.m.
∎ The Concord Arts Market runs all day at the north end of Main Street.

As far as non-Market Days activities go, there’s a pretty good one at Kimball-Jenkins tonight. The latest installment of “Colors and Cabernet” goes down tonight at 6:30. BYOB and kick back while learning how to paint in the style of Georgia O’Keefe. Space is limited, so register online ($40) at kimballjenkins.com to guarantee your spot.
