The Insiders: Enjoy this magical night at Red River
We don’t necessarily go around advertising it, but we are actually fairly accomplished magicians. In fact, if you’ve been reading the letters to the editor section lately, you’ll notice that we’ve recently made several readers disappear. But our humble talents pale in comparison to those of professional magician Andrew Pinard, who you can see tonight when he brings his unique brand of magic to Red River Theatres for the first of four upcoming appearances.
Pinard will be debuting his show, Discovering Magic, tonight at 8 p.m. at Red River, promising “a guided tour of the impossible and absurd,” language we’d previously reserved only to describe discussions with our financial advisor. Using traditional items such as coins, cards, cups, lengths of rope and rubber bands, Pinard will blow your mind with dazzling sleight-of-hand tricks.
Tickets for the show are $15, and Pinard will also perform at Red River on Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11. For more information, call Red River Theatres at 224-4697 or visit redrivertheatres.org.
Also today, Concord TV will host an open house at its new location in the city’s new community center at 14 Canterbury Road (formerly Dame School). Stop by between 5 and 8 p.m. to tour the studio and perhaps video bomb your way onto the big screen!
