Manchester Monarchs show resiliency in 3-2 win over visiting Providence Bruins

Monarchs regroup, beat Bruins

Manchester let a 2-0 lead slip away, but a goal by Scott Sabourin with 7:56 remaining broke a 2-2 tie and the Monarchs went on to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Providence Bruins last night.

Sabourin also scored in the first period to make it 2-0. Both his tallies came off assists from Sean Backman.

Brandon Kozun scored his sixth goal at 10:39 of the first to make it 1-0, then Sabourin made it 2-0 at 17:28.

Jordan Weal, Andrew Bodnarchuk and Andy Andreoff had single assists. Goalie Jean-Francoise Berube made 24 saves.
