The Insiders: Let’s Dance heats things up from brrr to burlesque

It’s long been established that there’s no I in team, but there is an ay caramba, thanks to Let’s Dance Studio. The fine people there have been holding burlesque dance workshops over the past few months, and tonight is the first meeting of the Burlesque Group Performance Team – and you’re invited.

The group will meet over seven Sundays from 5 to 6 p.m. in preparation for a Valentine’s performance Feb. 15. Press information for the class promises “a wildly fun and exotic choreographed routine,” which incidentally is how we describe the average week in the Insider office.

Interested? Of course you are. The only rules are that you have to be at least 18 years old and have at least $75 to your name, because that’s the per-person fee for the class. To learn more or to register, email letsdancenh@gmail.com.

Elsewhere today, get some help centering yourself during the holiday craziness with Seva Yoga classes by donation at 4 p.m. at Sharing Yoga. These classes are offered specifically for people who cannot afford regular yoga classes, and participants are asked to pay what they are able, with proceeds donated to a local charity every three months. Instructors donate their time to lead the classes.
