The Northern Pass Project

A simulated view of what the Northern Pass transmission towers would look like is shown from Oak Hill in Concord. The proposed overhead transmission line is set to run 8 miles through the eastern part of Concord, along the path of an existing Eversource Energy right of way. The lines and towers currently in place are are between 43 and 97 feet tall. The U.S. Department of Energy issued a list Thursday of more than 20 alternative options for the Northern Pass project that it will study during its ongoing environmental evaluation of the $1.4 billion electric transmission plan.
