The New England Patriots requested waivers on running back Montee Ball. The move Tuesday to cut the former Wisconsin standout comes a day after Ball found out that he wouldn’t face felony charges after an apparent argument with his girlfriend. Ball spent time on the Patriots practice squad late in the season. He was cut by Denver in September. Prosecutors had charged Ball on Monday with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, for an incident at a downtown Madison hotel early Friday.
