"The Administration is threatening to hold our nation's most vulnerable citizens as political hostages to try to force new, onerous tax hikes on the public. On Tuesday, the President threatened that Social Security checks as well as veteran and disability benefits could be suspended if Congress does not agree on the debt ceiling by August 2. The goal? Ignore the reckless spending that caused this crisis and simply close the budget gap with more of your hard-earned dollars. But there's a better way to resolve the debt crisis without using seniors, veterans, and disabled Americans as political pawns". |
